Last Term in Week 10, 16 Year 5 students and Mrs Algeri spent the day with the St Dominic’s STEM Team working on a unique project. The students were placed into teams in order to construct a Formula 1 vehicle which would prove to be the fastest, best design and having the most aerodynamic properties. Each person in the team was assigned a specific role : Manager, Graphics Designer, Race Technician and Engineer.
At the end of the day, the teams from all the schools participated in an exciting racing championship (Like a mini Bathurst!). Corpus Christi reigned supreme, winning two of the three awards -BEST DESIGN and BEST MARKETING. Congratulations to our budding engineers of the future: Gareth Cochran, Tahj Cavallaro, Ben McWilliams, Isaac King, Daniel Butt, Tyler Briggs, Korban Mayo, Nathan Galea, D’arcy Mc Gettigan, Kyan Brinks, Harrison Tanghdale, William Peebles, Connor Pryke, Lachlan Monteleone, Jayden Galea and Logan Buzzi.

🏃🏻➡️NSWPSSA Primary Athletics Championships🏃 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Thomas F, Brodie S, Bailey F and Chase S, as part of the Junior Boys Relay team, for competing in the NSWPSSA Primary Athletics Championships at Homebush. This team ran incredibly well and managed to make the final on Day 2. In the final these boys finished 7th. CONGRATULATIONS boys on being the 7th fastest Junior Boys Relay team in NSW. Chase S also competed in the 100m & high jump. What an amazing achievement to reach this level of competition for individual events congratulations. The Corpus Christi community are so proud of you 👏👏👏👏

Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). 🏐NETBALL GALA DAY🏐 On Wednesday 15th October Corpus Christi took 5 teams to participate in the Netball Gala. The weather was incredibly hot and the children played in some tough conditions, but they all represented Corpus Christi with pride and came away with a bucket load of new skills.
