What’s been happening across the school K-6?
During this week the whole school have been learning MORE about communicating and reasoning when exploring the properties of 2D shapes. This learning module includes Geometric Reasoning. This has been a challenging unit for students however it has not only allowed students to gain mathematical knowledge but it has also built the students will power to never give up.
Based on the syllabus, 2D Space, students were exploring more about 2D shapes and their properties, features, classifying quadrilaterals, sketching, flipping, turning, proving and sorting by angles and using a variety of manipulatives to enrich their learning experiences.
The results have been amazing as our students are doing above and beyond expected for their age!

Kindergarten were off to the theatre today. They watched a live performance of Possum Magic at the Joan Sutherland in Penrith. They were wonderful representatives of our school.
